Distinguished Members,

With a deep sense of gratitude and pride, I would like to welcome esteemed members to the 2025-2026 season of the International Women’s Group – Kuwait. It is a privilege to represent the community and the network of compassionate, confident women as the President, and I am looking forward to our exciting journey for the promotion of cultural diversity and friendship among its members.

True to its founding principles, the International Women’s Group’s experience is both inspiring and rewarding. The IWG proudly embodies and embraces cultural understanding through various social events and public activities. Thus, members remarkably immerse themselves in vibrant traditions and celebrate the creative artistic spirit of almost a hundred nationalities from all over the world. Most importantly, the colorful activities provide an intimate glimpse into Kuwait’s rich and vivid cultural heritage.

It emerges naturally that by nurturing cultural diversity and consensus building, the IWG broadens perspectives and helps form heartfelt, sincere friendship bonds, fosters an environment where everyone feels included and celebrated both as a woman and as a mother.

Perhaps one of the most heartening aspects of my personal experience with the IWG is being surrounded by truly amazing Kuwaiti women, who are open-hearted, friendly and welcoming and whose warmth and heartfelt amiability then translates into deep sense of comfort and cherished tranquility that one can only experience in this generous and beautiful country – Kuwait.

To this end, I would like to use this opportunity to extend my immense gratitude to the Honorary President of IWG, Her Excellency, Sheikha Hanouf Bader Al Mohammed Al Sabah, whose incredible stewardship and dedication elevated the international role of the IWG to new heights.

I would like to humbly express my sincere praise to the Kuwaiti government and people, under the steadfast leadership of His Highness, Amir Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, for ensuring global partnership and inclusive policies, further enhancing the social harmony and well-being of the Kuwaiti residents, thus creating fertile ground for the IWG community to thrive.

Going forward, I am looking for intensive cooperation with the Kuwaiti public sector, the diplomatic missions, and International organizations accredited in Kuwait, in order to further augment the awareness and enhance the visibility with regard to the IWG in Kuwait.

I am profoundly grateful to my predecessor, Mrs. Polina Dalmini, spouse of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Eswatini, and all the members of the board for being an immeasurable asset to the IWG and charting a course that still inspires us.

Dear esteemed members, I am looking forward to your active engagement and contribution in all the IWG upcoming enlightening events, and I sincerely trust that these precious moments will overwhelm your hearts with joy, enthusiasm, and kindness.

Warmest wishes

Marika Kochlamazashvili

IWG President
