How can I become a member?
In order to be considered for Active membership, new applicants must be sponsored by a current member and are then required to attend three meetings in the year preceding their application.
All wives of Ambassadors and lady Ambassadors accredited to the State of Kuwait are invited to join IWG as Honorary members.

Is IWG only for the spouses of Ambassadors?
IWG welcomes ladies from all nationalities, diplomatic female staff and wives of diplomats to become Active members.

IWG
is a women’s association with its membership open only to women.
Can I attend a meeting
as a non-member?
Non-
members can attend a meeting as a guest of an IWG member.
Members of IWG may invite guests to accompany them to the monthly meetings or to a social activity/event, such as an excursion. However, Guests are not permitted to join any meetings or events identified as Members only.
What kind of organization is IWG?
IWG is a Non-Profit organization, formed with the objective of
providing a forum for ladies to meet, form friendhips and learn about each
other’s culture and that of Kuwait.
When was IWG established?
In 1989 IWG was founded by Mrs. Hanneke Vreling, wife of the Dutch Ambassador of Kuwait.

What are the timings of events?
Our monthly meetings are normally held on the first Sunday of each
month- doors usually open at 9:30 AM. Our events normally last for
approximately 3 to 4 hours.

How much do I pay to bring a guest to the IWG meeting?
Guest fees for our monthly meetings currently stand at KD 15
(subject to change).
How many guests can a member invite to a meeting?
Normally two, with prior notification.
Can I bring a friend to the Annual Seasonal dinner?
Guests are welcome but must be accompanied by their host member. There is a guest fee for the Annual Seasonal Dinner
