The IWG runs a number of different activities every year for the cross-promotion and celebration of different cultures and traditions of its various members. Activities run by IWG are organized with our Members in mind and as a priority.
These events include, but are not limited to the following:
Monthly Members Meetings
The Monthly Members Meeting normally take place on the first Sunday of each calendar month but may be moved to accommodate other activities. Monthly meetings are usually suspended during the summer months.
Monthly meetings are usually structured around a particular theme. This may include guest speakers presenting a topic of special interest, the celebration of a specific country’s culture, the celebration of Kuwait during February or a Ghabqa styled event during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Excursions
The Executive Board periodically organizes excursions for its Members.
•Excursions are usually trips within Kuwait.
•Locations of past excursions include factories, museums, parliament, etc.
Other Events
On occasion, IWG hosts special events in partnership with other organizations or persons.
These events are considered extraordinary events and have included events such as special cooking classes, painting classes and special dinners.
