IWG Visit Hectare’s Potato Crisps Factory
The International Women’s Group – organized a visit to Hectare’s factory for Potato Chips Industries on October 20, 2019. The group was received by the CEO Mr. Muntaser Al-Wazzan and Project Manager Jumanah Al-Wazzan. Jumanah showcased the state-of-the-art chips production lines. Combining a craftsman’s dedication to quality and globally sourced ingredients with a mastery of modern technology, Hectare’s have seized the opportunity to offer healthy, great-tasting crisps to the snack food market. It is worth noting that we import only the highest quality potatoes from Germany and India.
Following that Mr. Mark Brocklehurst, the factory manager, took the group on a tour showing them all phases of the crisps production line and the technology used along with the safety procedures applied in the factory. The factory management asked the group to put on specific sterile gowns before entering the factory, the very same ones that all factory workers use to guarantee the cleanliness of the place.
Mr. Mark explained in a detailed review on the production of potato chips factory. He explained that such a project needs many automated equipment to carry out the various production stages, starting from the stages of washing, cleaning, adding flavors and packaging stage. Passing on this equipment and explaining the function of each machine in addition to clarify some other details such as the stages of production and raw materials required and the best marketing methods of the product until it reaches the desired form and reach the stores.
Coming back to Jumanah PM she presented the different types of available potato chips such as the sizzling summer barbeque, Sea Salt & Cracked Black Pepper, Cheese, Vinegar, and Sweet Chilly & Red Pepper flavors. She also explained that the factory has prepared a great variety of healthy options that will satisfy all customers craving for a healthy and light snack. In addition to that, there are some great new flavors for children. The factory also produces a large variety of popcorn that would satisfy everyone as they come in Salt, Coconut, Vanilla, Salted Caramel, and Butter flavors.
At the end of the tour, the group took a keep sake photo with the executive team. Afterwards, we thanked all the management team and the staff members for their hospitality. A variety of the products were distributed to all the ladies.
