IWG Kashta Event in honor of Kuwait National & Liberation Days
 
A delegation from the International Women’s Group (IWG), headed by Mrs. Antonia Dimitrova, president of IWG and wife of the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria, paid a visit to ‘The Season’ in Subiya for a Kashta event.
Members including H.E. Lena Maryana, the Ambassador of Indonesia, were warmly received by Mrs. Najat AlHashash, Consultant of Happiness, Positivity and Quality of Life.
 
Kuwaiti flags were distributed on arrival to all attendees who were welcomed with bukhur, Arabic coffee and sweets. After a short introduction to the tradition of Kashta (Kuwaiti picnic), members viewed an exhibition of the paintings of the Kuwaiti painter Mr. Tareq Hamada.
 
Members were also delighted with the beautiful performance of Kuwaiti traditional dance by Mrs. Ibriza.
 
The delegation had a wonderful time experiencing the culture of Kashta in the desert, and very much appreciated and enjoyed this Kuwaiti tradition. A sumptuous lunch was served in a beautiful glass enclosure which allowed a panoramic view of the surroundings.
 
KTV2 documented the visit and interviewed members who expressed their congratulations to HH the Amir, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the occasion of Kuwait National and Liberation Days.
 
On behalf of IWG members, Mrs. Dimitrova along with the IWG Executive Board also expressed their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to His Highness the Amir and the people and residents of Kuwait for the country’s continued prosperity, peace and wellbeing.
 
At the end of an exciting and eventful day, Mrs. Dimitrova, presented Mrs. Al Hashah with a commemorative shield of appreciation thanking her and the organizers for a truly memorable and culturally informative Kashta.
